What is SDCX?
The Media industry is increasingly interconnected, with a rising need to exchange content across virtual networks within countries and around the world. Software-defined content exchange (SDCX) is an emerging architecture that integrates advanced network optimization technology with an intelligent cloud-based control plane to connect the global media supply chain.
By separating the control and data planes (Figure 1) for endpoints on different networks, clouds or private data centers around the world, SDCX improves the speed, security and scalability of content.

The SDCX approach allows content to be storage, cloud and location agnostic. It provides businesses with fast, seamless global access to their valuable media assets, while ensuring that end users, workflows, and business processes are unencumbered by the complexities of storage type and location.
